METRO INVITES PUBLIC TO JOIN TRANSIT CHAT

METRO is hosting its monthly Transit Chat this Friday, May 2, from noon to 1 p.m.

Hosted by METRO President & CEO Frank J. Wilson, Transit Chat, is a monthly Web chat that gives customers an opportunity to ask METRO's top executives questions about METRO's programs and services.

Many things are happening at METRO.  Just this week METRO terminated its contract with WGI, the contractor working on the METRO Solutions Phase 2 program.  A new company, Parsons Transportation Group, will be taking over the next stage of METRO's light-rail projects.

Last month, METRO revealed results from an image survey it conducted.  Seventy-two percent of the participants said they felt safe on our system.

Finally, everyone seems to be going green.  METRO is continuing with its commitment to help improve air quality in Houston - more hybrid buses are on the way.
