Evenings with the Artists begin Monday 

Art Icon right.jpgThe artists selected for METRO Solutions Public Art Program reflect the diversity of the communities along the future light-rail lines.  That's why METRO captured input from the communities.  Now that the artists have refined their proposals based on community feedback, do their proposals meet this expectation?  That's for you to consider as you visit the exhibits at the North, East End, Southeast and Uptown corridors.

Today (Monday, Mar. 10) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. you will also have an opportunity to spend an Evening with the Artists assigned to the East End Corridor, at the Corridor Office located in Las Palmas Shopping Center at 6215 Harrisburg Blvd.

Evenings with the Artists have also been scheduled for three other corridors:

METRO Solutions safety pilot program moves to Southeast Corridor 

DSCF0012.JPGThis month, the METRO Solutions' Community and School Safety Education Pilot Program entered its second phase by moving to Peck Elementary in the Southeast Corridor. 

The pilot program began earlier this month at Roosevelt Elementary in the North Corridor, where it has now concluded.  More information and photos are available in this news release.

METRO's President & CEO, Frank J. Wilson will address these questions and others about METRO's transit expansion program this month at the Houston Downtown Alliance (HDA) Breakfast Series.
